25 min focus · 5 min break · 15 min long break every 4
The timer above is set to the classic Pomodoro rhythm: 25 minutes of focus, a 5-minute break, and a 15-minute break after every fourth session. Add the subjects you are revising as tasks, then press Start.
A session works best with a finish line you can reach. Good sizes for 25 minutes:
If a task needs more than two sessions, split it into smaller tasks before you start.
Before the 15-minute break, close your notes and write down everything you remember from the last four sessions. Recalling material without looking is one of the most reliable ways to make it stick, and it shows you exactly what to revisit next.
If you keep getting interrupted just as a hard problem starts to click, try a longer block such as the 50/10 timer. For long reading or essay days, a 90-minute focus timer may suit you better. You can also change every length in Settings.
There is no fixed number. Many students find 6 to 8 focused sessions, about 2.5 to 3.5 hours of real concentration, a demanding but sustainable day alongside classes. Track your count in the Report and add sessions slowly.
For reading, memorising and practice questions, 25 minutes is usually enough to make progress while staying fresh. If you routinely feel you are just getting started when the alarm rings, move to 40 or 50 minutes in Settings.
Yes. The countdown shows in the browser tab title and the alarm plays when a session ends, so you can keep your study materials open in another tab.
